What are Fragrance Notes?Updated 3 years ago

You can think of fragrance notes as the individual facets that combine to create the overall scent profile. There are top, middle, and base notes:

Top

Top notes are the liveliest and most volatile components in a blend; it’s the top notes that often make up the initial impression of a fragrance.

Middle

The middle notes bridge gap between the top and base notes and are often referred to as the body of a scent. It’s the middle notes that are at the very heart of a fragrance.

Base

Beneath the top and middle notes are the base notes. These consist of the longest-lasting materials and make up the final impression of a fragrance.

Below is an example of a product launch which shares the Top, Middle and Base notes of a fragrance.
